Solutionist Spotlight: Mary Cliver

    1. What do you like most about your job/role at FFVA Mutual?
What I like most about working at FFVA Mutual are the people I work with. I have made many friends here and have had the pleasure of working with some very talented people. I also like that our environment allows me to balance my work and personal life.
    1. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would pay off my children’s student loans and mine. I would also open a shelter for battered women as a place they could come to get out of an abusive relationship. There is a strong local need for counseling and helping women in these situations. I have always wanted to open a safe place to help them get back on their feet, find jobs, and take control of their lives.
    1. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievements are my children. My oldest son works in mortgage underwriting, my younger son works in IT and my daughter is a claims adjuster. I am proud of the people they have become – they are all compassionate, loving and caring adults who have worked hard to build good lives for themselves and have bright futures ahead.
    1. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time at home and taking some “me” time to simply watch TV, read a magazine or get a facial. I also like to listen to music and work on word search puzzles.
    1. What one food do you wish had zero calories?
Being from Chicago, the food I wish had zero calories is pizza. I love pizza!
    1. Where is your favorite place to be?
My favorite place to be is at Walt Disney World with my daughter. There is a happiness and peacefulness there for me and I enjoy having that time reconnecting with her.
    1. What would you like to be remembered for?
As a good daughter, mother and friend.
  1. Tell us one thing that most people may not know about you?
Many people probably do not know that I write poetry. I have had some poems published with the amateur poetry society.
